The trek reaches approximately 12,250 ft at its highest point.
The trek is rated Moderate. It involves snow trails, gradual ascents, forest sections and a longer summit day, so basic cardiovascular fitness and stamina are recommended.
The prime winter season is generally December to March, when the trail is known for snow-covered forests, frozen alpine landscapes and spectacular Himalayan views.
Winter temperatures can drop to around -5°C or lower, particularly at night and at higher camps. Proper thermals, insulated layers, gloves and winter accessories are essential.
The current Apic Escapes itinerary is 6 Days / 5 Nights, covering approximately 24 km of trekking, along with the road journey to and from Lohajung.
The trip begins with transportation from Kathgodam to Lohajung, which serves as the base village for the trek.
Accommodation includes guesthouse-style stays where applicable and twin-sharing alpine tents during the trekking portion, subject to operating conditions.
Yes. Wholesome vegetarian meals are provided during the trek according to the package itinerary.
